Body measurements travel better than labels

Bust or chest, waist, hip, and sometimes height are more useful across countries than a single S/M/L or numbered label. Use the garment category that matches the item.

International conversion is approximate

US, UK, EU, and other clothing labels are conventions rather than one synchronized system. Use conversion tables to narrow options, then check the seller’s measurement chart.

Use the body dimensions that control the garment

Use body measurements first and international labels second; country labels are not universal standards. For tops and jackets, chest or bust may dominate; for trousers, waist and hip may matter more.

International labels are only nearby references. The measurement row and product chart should decide the final size.

How this guidance is checked

These sources support the measurement method and help check real-world variation. They are not presented as one universal brand-size table.
