Label comparison, not a foot-length chart. JP/CM is a printed shoe size label; it is not the length of your foot measured with a ruler. For a measured foot length in cm or inches, open the footwear maker's separate Foot Length or Heel-to-toe chart to choose a size. The US/UK/EU references here are approximate and vary by brand.

Japan to US: distinguish JP shoe-label CM from measured foot length

Nike Japan's men's chart lists CM/JP label 27 → US Men's 9. Nike explicitly warns that centimeters printed on the shoe box can differ from the wearer's measured foot length, so a JP 27 label is not an instruction that every 27 cm foot needs US 9.

Use the chart for the actual maker and category. If the listing instead provides physical foot length, use its separate foot-length guidance rather than treating it as the product's CM/JP label.

How to use the general reference chart on this page

The table above compares approximate US men, US women, UK, EU and JP/CM printed shoe-label references. It does not provide a direct country-specific size column. The brand-specific example above supplies a checked local-label answer; confirm it against the actual product chart before buying.

Keep foot length measured from heel to longest toe separate from CM/JP or millimeter numbers printed as shoe size labels. Those may be different quantities even when both contain the unit cm or mm.
