Read fitted fractions from head circumference

Measure around the position where the cap will rest. The reference chart maps 56.8 cm to fitted 7 1/8 and 57.7 cm to fitted 7 1/4. A circumference between these rows calls for comparing neighboring sizes rather than automatically rounding down.

The chart's 22.4-inch and 22.7-inch entries are rounded decimal-inch measurements of the head. A fitted fraction such as 7 1/8 is the cap's size label, not a measurement of seven and one-eighth inches. Verify against the maker's chart.

Choose between two fitted sizes

If your head measurement falls between rows, compare the brand's sizing chart and consider crown shape, stiffness and how snug you prefer the fit. A rigid fitted cap and a flexible cap may feel different with the same number.

This table covers common fitted labels, not every available size. Some brands offer larger fractions than the last listed row; use their complete chart when needed.
