Label comparison, not a foot-length chart. JP/CM is a printed shoe size label; it is not the length of your foot measured with a ruler. For a measured foot length in cm or inches, open the footwear maker's separate Foot Length or Heel-to-toe chart to choose a size. The US/UK/EU references here are approximate and vary by brand.

Women's to men's conversion is mainly a length comparison

Use the same approximate printed-label row for an initial comparison, then verify both categories against the manufacturer’s Foot Length chart. A fixed US men-to-women offset is not universal.

The converted number does not automatically convert width, toe shape or last volume. Those differences often matter as much as the nominal length.

When a unisex or opposite-category model is the goal

Check whether the brand publishes a unisex chart or model-specific conversion. If it does, use that chart instead of the generic relationship.

Where width options differ, compare the stated width and fit notes as well as the converted size number.
