Label comparison, not a foot-length chart. JP/CM is a printed shoe size label; it is not the length of your foot measured with a ruler. For a measured foot length in cm or inches, open the footwear maker's separate Foot Length or Heel-to-toe chart to choose a size. The US/UK/EU references here are approximate and vary by brand.

Convert US to EU while keeping shoe labels distinct from measurements

Start from the US label you know, locate its row, and read the EU value from that same row. Then check the JP/CM shoe-label value, which is not your measured foot length, before treating the result as a purchase size.

A US-to-EU conversion is a comparison between labeling systems, not proof that two shoes have identical internal dimensions. Brand lasts, width and fit allowance can still move the practical choice.

When two neighboring sizes are plausible

Keep the original foot measurement rather than rounding the converted label first. Compare both neighboring product sizes with the manufacturer chart and fit notes.

This matters most where one system offers a half size that the other system does not represent in exactly the same way.
